From Exact Reset Channels to Data-Center Energy, Quantum Cooling, and Falsifiable Fusion

September 18, 2026

Status: Exact model and executable benchmarks; physical validation open

By Joshua Johosky

Research summary

Applies the GOI protected-transition discipline to systems where energy is spent, heat is deposited, state is reset, or a materials hypothesis can be falsified. It separates an exact finite-dimensional collision model from synthetic data-center benchmarks, quantum-cooling proposals, and fusion hypotheses.

Claim boundary

The protected-collision model is exact under declared assumptions. Data-center results are executable synthetic workload experiments. Quantum cooling is an operational hardware-test proposal. The replacement fusion branch remains a material hypothesis awaiting experiment.

The volume asks what remains of the protected-transition architecture when information-theoretic distinctions are forced into systems with explicit energy, heat, reset, and measurement costs.

It assigns separate evidence classes to derived mathematics, constructed artifacts, modeled results, candidate mechanisms, falsified candidates, and open questions. Those classes are intentionally non-interchangeable.

The ordinary-screening reconstruction in the fusion branch is recorded as a failed candidate. A replacement trapped-pair materials hypothesis is carried forward only as a testable candidate, not as physical confirmation.
